Farah's first project in 4th grade was to build a LONGHOUSE. She was very thrilled about it because her sister Nina did a similar project when she was in the same grade, so, she got to compare who did a better job! (sisters' rivalry is common in my house....  ). After school, her dad took her to AC Moore on Niagara Falls Boulevard to get the materials she needed and when she got home around 10:00 p.m. she began working on the project right away. Around 12:00 a.m. she SOSed me for help because she couldn't fix the roof....  Funny that she fell asleep on the floor while I was fixing it. I guess she was too tired after working on the project for two solid hours + school + going out... .
Here are some facts about Farah's longhouse project.
Cost : Less than 10 dollars
Project duration : 10:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. next day
Score : 100 (including presentation) - it would have been 90 I think, without the roof 
Good job Farah!

Hi everyone.....
Welcome to my photopage! I've been meaning to do this for some time but my schedule has been pretty hectic since Adam was born...(if Adam could say something, he would probably say "yeah right! blame it on me Mom!!!... ). But seriously, Adam was a handful and is still now  . He was a colic baby to begin with, so he used to cry a lot (and loud too!) everyday. The worst was around his bedtime and he would cry for an hour or so, sometimes longer. Thanks to my mom and dad who were here to help during my confinement and friends who offered comforting words during those difficult times. I'll never forget that! Starting over was certainly not easy especially after a long eight years...Despite all that, I'm thankful and very blessed that Adam has grown to be a healthy and strong thirteen-month-old baby...Alhamdulillah....
Anyway, this photopage is dedicated to my children, family and friends who are very dear to my heart. I hope one day my children can look back and say "hey! we had so much fun growing up and Mom always makes good food for us..." (although I'm not quite sure about the second part! ). To my family and friends, I hope this photopage will keep us stay in touch with one another....and those that I'll leave behind soon, this as a "gift" from me to you...to keep our friendship and memories together alive when I'm half way across the globe from you! So, everyone, do drop by once in a while when you have the chance and leave your comment if you like....or simply look at the pictures....I certainly appreciate it very, very much....
